Amit Shah Commends PM Modi’s Decade-Long Governance, Outlines Vision for India’s Development

In a recent interview, Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s exemplary leadership, citing his “A-grade record” of governance over the past decade. Shah emphasized Modi’s strategic plan to steer India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, backed by the collective resolve of 130 crore citizens.

Under the visionary initiative “Viksit Bharat @2047,” India aims to achieve comprehensive development across economic growth, social advancement, environmental sustainability, and governance excellence. Shah highlighted PM Modi’s commitment to realizing this vision and implementing government initiatives effectively.

Responding to concerns about potential constitutional changes if the BJP-led NDA secures a significant majority in Lok Sabha elections, Shah stressed the importance of governance discipline to maintain public trust. He underscored the BJP’s responsible governance track record, contrasting it with past administrations led by Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi.

Shah outlined the key pillars of good governance, including economic revitalization, technological advancement, fostering self-reliance across sectors, and aligning education with global standards. He criticized opposition parties for politicizing issues like the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and reassured that the BJP remains steadfast in fulfilling its manifesto promises.

Regarding the implementation of the CAA, Shah clarified that the rules were notified by the Union Home Ministry in accordance with the BJP’s manifesto commitment. He dismissed allegations of political opportunism, emphasizing the law’s objective to grant citizenship to persecuted non-Muslim migrants from neighboring countries.

The notification of CAA rules by the Home Ministry precedes the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, signaling the government’s commitment to fulfilling its electoral pledges and advancing inclusive policies for India’s development.
