Amritpal escaped to Haryana; Woman who sheltered pro-khalistani leader and his aide at her house arrested | Watch

New Delhi: Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh was seen on CCTV camera leaving the house of a woman from Haryana. The woman had given him shelter when he was on the run from the police on Monday. It is visible in the CCTV footage that wanted Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh came out of the house with an umbrella to hide his face. He is wearing a white shirt and dark blue jeans.

Police said that Baljit Kaur, a woman who gave shelter to Amritpal Singh and his associate Papalpreet Singh at her home in Kurukshetra, Haryana, has been arrested.

The timestamp on the footage shows Monday. This is two days after the police went to Punjab to arrest him. He is currently absconding.

Kurukshetra police chief Police Singh Bhoria said, “We have arrested Baljit Kaur, the woman who sheltered Amritpal and his associate Papalpreet Singh at her house in Shahabad on Sunday. She has been handed over to the Punjab Police.”
