Bihar: On Friday, Nitish Kumar, Bihar Chief Minister,became the new president of the Janata Dal (United) president after Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh steps down from the post .
Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lalan Singh offered his resignation shortly after the Janata Dal-United national executive meeting began at the Constitution Club in Delhi. After this Nitish Kumar was elected to the top party post at the JDU’s two-day national executive meeting in Delhi.
An official announcement on the fast-paced developments within the JDU will be made in the evening around 5 PM. Nitish Kumar will be responsible for taking key decisions including seat-sharing formula with I.N.D.I.A. bloc ahead of next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
