Bihar: On Thursday, an official said that a young leader of the Janata Dal United (JDU) in Bihar was shot dead by unidentified attackers in Patna on Wednesday night. After getting information about this incident local police reached on the spot.
Official added that Four bike-borne assailants opened fire on Saurabh Kumar late last night when he was returning from a wedding function with his friends and family.
About this incident,Superintendent of Police Bharat Soni said,”Attackers on motorcycles opened fire at Kumar while returning from a reception. Another person was also injured in the incident, and their condition is stable.”
Kumar, who was injured by bullets in the head and neck, died. The police said that CCTV footage is being scanned and evidence is being collected.
SP Bharat Soni said that all aspects including political and business relations are being investigated. After the incident, angry JDU supporters gathered at the spot and demanded strict and immediate action in the case.
