In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming elections, the BJP’s Minority Morcha is set to launch the ‘Quami Chaupal’ campaign aimed at connecting with Muslim voters in more than 4,100 villages across Muslim-dominated Lok Sabha constituencies in western Uttar Pradesh. The campaign, starting from Kaserwa village in Muzaffarnagar district on February 10, will address issues concerning the minority community.

The BJP’s Minority Morcha plans to organize ‘Quami Chaupal’ in 23 Lok Sabha constituencies, including Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Kairana, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur, Bareilly, Agra, and Aligarh. Lok Sabha constituency-wise in-charges will be deputed for the program, focusing on engaging with Muslim voters in their respective areas.

Leaders of the Morcha will visit Muslim-dominated villages, discussing government schemes and initiatives for minorities, while also addressing the specific issues and problems faced by the community. The primary objective is to strengthen the BJP’s connection with the Muslim electorate, emphasizing the party’s commitment to their welfare.

The ‘Quami Chaupals’ will be organized in the homes of influential individuals within the villages or in madrassas, providing a platform for open dialogue and understanding. The BJP aims to attract Muslims who seek a political party dedicated to their welfare, with the anticipation that their support will translate into votes for the BJP in the upcoming elections.

While the BJP’s ‘Shukriya Modi Bhai Jaan’ program continues to focus on Muslim women, ‘Quami Chaupal’ is designed to engage predominantly male Muslim voters, broadening the party’s appeal within the community. The BJP had secured 19 out of 26 Lok Sabha seats in Western Uttar Pradesh in the 2019 elections, and with a strategy to win all 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh this time, the party is actively working on strengthening its outreach efforts across diverse voter segments.
