Champawat, Uttarakhand: In a shocking development, Kamal Rawat, a leader expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was arrested on Sunday in Champawat, Uttarakhand, on charges of allegedly raping a minor girl. The arrest was confirmed by Police Officer Yogesh Upadhyay, who stated that Rawat was taken into custody late in the evening and is slated to appear in court on Monday.
