In a collaborative operation between the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab’s Special Task Force (STF), significant seizures of weapons, ammunition, and heroin were made in Gurdaspur district. Two individuals were apprehended during the joint raid, enhancing the region’s security.

During the operation in Gurdaspur’s Deriwal Kiran village, BSF and STF personnel discovered 100 grams of heroin and 13 rounds of a .32-bore pistol in a targeted house. Subsequently, a follow-up raid in Uppal village led to the confiscation of a pump action gun (PAG-type) with 10 rounds and a pistol containing one .32 bore cartridge. The arrest of two individuals further strengthened the success of the operation.
In a separate incident, a joint team recovered a drone and a 519-gram packet of heroin from a field in Amritsar district’s Mode village. This operation, carried out based on specific information, showcases the proactive efforts of the authorities in combating illegal activities.
