Mumbai: On Thursday, a force spokesperson said that a housekeeping staff working at the Mumbai International Airport was arrested with gold worth Rs 2 crore hidden in a water bottle by CISF personnel.
He added that an employee of BVG company Madhukar Bansode was posted at Terminal-2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for housekeeping work.
A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official said that the man was handed over to the customs department along with 2.77 kg of gold paste worth around Rs 2 crore. The gold was recovered from him hidden in a stainless steel bottle.
