Uttar Pradesh’s Special Task Force (STF) apprehended a Noida resident for circulating a deceptive deepfake video featuring Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The AI-generated video, aimed at spreading false information, gained traction across various social media platforms.

The police in Uttar Pradesh caught a person from Noida for sharing a fake video of CM Yogi Adityanath. This fake video spread wrong information on social media.

The individual responsible for sharing the video, identified as Shyam Kishor Gupta, was arrested by law enforcement. Gupta had posted the deceptive video using the online alias ‘@shyamguptarpswa’. The dissemination of false information through this video caused disruption and confusion among the public.

The police registered a case against him at the Noida Cyber Crime police station. The laws about cheating and causing trouble to the public were used against him. Shyam Kishor Gupta lives in Barola, Noida Gautam Buddha Nagar. The police are taking further action against him at the local cyber crime police station in Noida.”
