The Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi will present its budget in the Delhi Assembly today at 11 am. Despite all the deadlock, the Kejriwal government finally got the approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs to present the budget on Tuesday. Before getting the budget approval, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal fiercely attacked the central government in the Delhi Assembly. CM Kejriwal said that if there was no tussle between the central and state government, Delhi would have progressed 10 times more.Finance Minister Kailash Gehlot will propose the budget for the first time on the floor of the house.
Home Ministry had stopped the budget because of this
According to Home Ministry sources, it is proposed to spend only 20% of the Delhi government’s budget on capital expenditure. This amount is not enough for the country’s capital and metropolis Delhi. The Kejriwal government has doubled the expenditure on publicity in two years, on which the LG had sought an explanation. The LG had sought clarification on the poor people of Delhi not getting the benefits of central schemes like Ayushman Bharat.
Kejriwal lashed out after getting approval
After this, when this budget was approved by the Center, CM Kejriwal attacked the Center from the Assembly. On the budget dispute, Arvind Kejriwal said, today the budget could not be presented in the Delhi Assembly. When Babasaheb Ambedkar was writing the constitution, he would not have thought that the central government could stop the state government. This is an attack on the constitution of the country. Kejriwal said, according to the rule, LG will only stamp, he cannot give objection or observation. If LG writes something on the file, it is against the constitution.
