New Delhi: Former Tamil Nadu chief minister E Palaniswami and AIADMK MLA PR Senthilnathan have been booked by police for allegedly attacking a passenger at Madurai airport. The police case was registered against the leaders for attacking a passenger who was protesting against Palaniswami for “betraying” VK Sasikala.
The passenger allegedly shared a Facebook live stream in which he can be heard accusing EPS of “betraying” VK Sasikala, a close confidante of ex Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha.
However, the authorities have also arrested a youth who raised slogans against Edappadi Palaniswami at the Madurai airport.
Soon after, Palaniswami’s bodyguard took the cell phone of the person who was live and shouting slogans against Palaniswami on Facebook and handed it over to the airport security officials. An investigation by the airport police revealed that the man was working as a construction worker in Singapore.
