Operation Kaveri: Indians are being brought back home from the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, where India has set up a transit camp for the evacuees. The first batch of 360 passengers returned to New Delhi on 26 April in a commercial flight, while the second batch of 246 Indians reached Mumbai on 27 April in an Indian Air Force C17 Globemaster aircraft.
New Delhi: Of the 1,191 Indians evacuated from civil war-torn Sudan under Operation Kaveri, 117 are being kept in isolation because they have not been vaccinated against yellow fever. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Saturday. The Ministry said that it is closely coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs on Operation Cauvery.
