New Delhi: A heart-wrenching case of assault on a class 8 student and inserting a stick in his private part has came into limelight in a private school in Delhi. The angry family members have protested against the school administration and filed a case against the accused. The age of the victim student is 14 years. The Delhi Police registered an FIR in connection with the incident, and a juvenile has been apprehended.

The victim student alleges that his Hindi exam was on March 13. During lunch he playfully banged the desk. Due to this, the student studying in his class got angry and an altercation broke out between the two. It is alleged that the boy along with his friends assaulted the student. When the matter reached the school teacher, he calmed the students down.

The 14-year-old student was cornered by his classmate and his senior friends and was brutally thrashed. According to the FIR, the incident took place on March 18.

The victim told that his Sanskrit paper was on 18th March. During which the accused student called him on some pretext and along with his friends not only beat him but also injured her by inserting a stick in his private parts. Also threatened not to tell this to anyone. Out of fear the victim student did not inform his family about this.

But on March 29, when his health deteriorated, his family took him to the hospital, where after investigation the matter was revealed. The incident was reported to the police. After which the police have registered the case and started investigation. Further action is being taken by taking the accused student into custody.

Consequently, a case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), and 377 (unnatural offences), along with Section 506 (criminal intimidation) and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

The victim’s family alleges that an incident like the Nirbhaya incident has happened to their child. The police have registered a case against the accused under minor sections whereas in this case a case of attempt to murder is made out. The victim’s family has also raised questions on the school administration. He says that the role of teachers in this matter should also be investigated.
