In anticipation of the momentous consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, captivating images of Lord Ram were projected onto the iconic clock tower in Dehradun through laser lights on Wednesday night. The breathtaking spectacle unfolded amid the bustling city streets, showcasing the revered deity in various divine forms.
As the seven-day Vedic rituals (Pran Pratishtha) commenced on Tuesday in Ayodhya, the holy city is ablaze with preparations for the consecration of the Ram temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace the grand event as the chief guest, with an extensive guest list that includes dignitaries, celebrities, saints, and politicians.
Wednesday saw a significant moment as the idol of Ram Lalla was ushered into the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple, marking a crucial step in the consecration preparations. Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra disclosed that the installation of the idol of Lord Ram is scheduled for Thursday, following a special puja held within the temple premises.
In the lead-up to the consecration ceremony, the temple is aglow with various rituals. Thursday’s schedule encompasses Teerth Poojan, Jal Yatra, and Gandhadhivas. The fourth day of Pran Pratishtha includes morning rituals like Aushadhadhivas, Kesaradhivas, and Ghritadhivas, with the Dhanyadhivas ritual unfolding in the evening.
Saturday morning will witness the observance of Sharkaradhivas and Phaladhivas rituals, followed by the Pushpadhivas ceremony in the evening. The concluding day of Pran Pratishtha on Sunday features the Madhyadhivas ritual in the morning and the Shaiyadhivas ceremony in the evening.
The intricate rituals are being meticulously conducted by 12 ‘acharyas,’ adding a profound spiritual essence to the consecration process. The Trust has outlined that the consecration ceremony, commencing at 12:20 pm on January 22, is expected to conclude by 1 pm, culminating in a historic moment for devotees and the nation alike.
