Dhanbad: In Jharkhand’s Dhanbad, a 10th class student committed suicide by hanging herself. According to the information, the student had gone to school wearing a bindi. To which the teacher strongly objected and slapped him in front of everyone in the school premises. Hurt by this, the girl student committed suicide by hanging herself.
After this incident, there was a stir in the whole area. Relatives and villagers blocked the road and sat on a dharna in front of the school. Started demanding strict action against the principal and teacher. A suicide note has also been recovered by the police from the school uniform of the deceased girl student, which is being investigated.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot, took the dead body into custody and started investigating the matter by sending it for postmortem. The deceased was a class 10 student studying in St. Jaber’s School under Tetulmari police station area. He hanged himself with a dupatta at his house. After this incident, the family members are in bad condition by crying.
The relatives of the victim told the police that their daughter had reached the school on Monday wearing a bindi. Teacher Sindhu objected to coming wearing a bindi in the school premises and also slapped her in front of everyone. She was so hurt by the teacher’s behavior that she committed suicide by hanging herself after reaching home. In protest against the incident, the family members of the student sat on a dharna in front of the school on Tuesday carrying the dead body and blocked the road from Tulmari to Naya Mor.
On this matter, SDPO Nisha Murmu told that a student of St. Jaber’s School of Tetulmari police station area has committed suicide. The victim’s family has accused the principal and teacher of the school of harassing the student. The matter is being seriously investigated and further action will be taken accordingly. Apart from this, SHO Ashish Kumar Yadav told sources over the phone that the incident took place on Monday. The relatives of the deceased had blocked the road. After giving assurance against the culprits, the blockade was opened.
