New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a slum located in Noida’s Sector 8 due to the explosion of a domestic gas cylinder. A total of 6 people got burnt in this accident. While 2 children including a newborn died. Four people have been referred to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment. The condition of one of the injured is said to be serious.
According to the information, on Saturday night at 2.52 pm, the fire department was informed about the fire in the slum in front of D-221. Four minutes after getting the information, two vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and after about 20 minutes of effort, the fire was brought under control.
Among the dead, the age of a child is 12 years while the age of a newborn baby (girl) is 12 days. The reason for the fire is said to be leaking gas cylinder. Phase One Kotwali police is also present on the spot.
Let us tell you that in the past, a fire broke out in a cylinder during cooking in a wedding program in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, in which four people were badly burnt. The injured were taken to the Community Health Center in Dibiyapur. It is being told that during the farewell of the daughter, food was being prepared by the women for the relatives in the house and during this suddenly a fire broke out in the cylinder. After the fire broke out, the women present there tried to extinguish it and during this they themselves got burnt.
