Impersonating Maharashtra Deputy CM’s PA, Duped Rs 15 Lakh. According to police reports, the victim, Mallesh Kalluri, discovered that his workplace was slated for redevelopment under the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) scheme. Upon learning that an application had been submitted to disqualify him from eligibility, Kalluri sought assistance from Mahadik, an acquaintance.

Mahadik claimed to have connections with an individual at Sagar Bungalow, Fadnavis’s official residence, who served as the Deputy Chief Minister’s PA. He assured Kalluri that his issue could be resolved for a fee of ₹35 lakh.

Subsequently, Mahadik introduced Kalluri to Patil, who presented himself as the PA and demanded the agreed-upon sum. Despite negotiations, Kalluri handed over ₹15 lakh near the Air India building in Mumbai.

However, after failing to receive the promised documents, Kalluri realized he had been deceived. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Patil did not work at Sagar Bungalow, leading to the lodging of an FIR at Marine Drive police station.

Following interrogation, both Mahadik and Patil were arrested on charges including personating a public servant and cheating under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
