Fugitive Amritpal Singh’s new live video, ‘Not afraid of arrest but…’

New Delhi: Fugitive Amritpal Singh has given an open challenge to the Punjab Police. Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh said on Thursday (March 30) that he will come among the people. I am not afraid of arrest, I am not going to run abroad, I did not get my hair cut. Jathedars of Shri Akal Takht take out Waheer (Religious Awareness Tour) and this Waheer starts from Akal Takht Sahib i.e. Amritsar and ends at Takht Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo on Baisakhi.

Amritpal Singh further said that Sarbat Khalsa should be called there on Baisakhi. I am not afraid of getting arrested, but on the path of rebellion one has to face such difficulties. Earlier, an alleged audio clip of Amritpal had also surfaced on Thursday afternoon. In it, he was heard dismissing speculation that he was negotiating his surrender and again asked the Akal Takht to convene the “Sarbat Khalsa”.

Video was released earlier also

A day before this, an alleged video of Amritpal, a Khalistan supporter, surfaced on social media. In this, he asked the Jathedar, the highest body of the Sikhs, to convene a conference to discuss issues related to the community. Even in the video clip, he tried to argue that the issue was not just his arrest, but also the larger concerns of the Sikh community.

Search continues to catch Amritpal

Police is constantly trying to catch Amritpal Singh. Earlier, the Punjab Police had launched a massive search operation in Hoshiarpur village and several nearby areas. The police also conducted a house-to-house search operation, but so far no success has been achieved. The Punjab Police had started action against the members of Waris Punjab De organization on 18 March. Since then Amritpal Singh is absconding.
