Gujarat: Half-day announced at all government offices and educational institutions on January 22

Gujarat: On Saturday, The Gujarat government announced a half-fay at all educational institutes and government offices across the state on January 22. January 22, the day of Ram Mandir's 'pran pratishtha' in Ayodhya.

Gujarat: On Saturday, The Gujarat government announced a half-fay at all educational institutes and government offices across the state on January 22 for inauguration of Ram Mandir Temple.

As per the official order, half day was declared till 2.30 pm on the said day. Earlier, on January 22 more states had declared a holiday for government employees to watch the consecration on television or attend local religious events.

Haryana and Rajasthan declared a half-day holiday for their employees, and the day was declared a public holiday in Maharashtra, Puducherry and Chandigarh. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at Ghaziabad railway station in Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla at the temple in Ayodhya and Republic Day.

The state police along with the dog squad were seen conducting security checks at the railway station. On Friday, the first image of the new Ram Lalla idol became public as anticipation for the consecration ceremony at the Ayodhya temple on January 22.

According to the picture released by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the eyes of this statue made of black stone obtained from Karnataka are covered with a piece of yellow cloth and decorated with a garland of roses.

Ram Lalla, Bal Ram, is in standing posture.The new 51-inch idol, created by Mysore-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Thursday afternoon, having been brought on a truck the previous night.

PM Modi will then address a gathering of more than 7,000 people at the venue – and millions more are expected to watch the event live on TV. The rituals at the temple started at 8.30 am on Friday and continued till 3.30 pm. The consecration ceremony will begin at 12.20 pm and is expected to end at 1 pm.
