Haryana: Waiter dragged, staff brutally thrashed over ₹ 23,000 liquor bill at Panchkula club

Two men along with three women were enjoying the night at a posh café and club in Sector 20, Panchkula. After an intense session of drinking, eating and carousing until 4 in the morning, the two men got into an altercation with the staff of the nightclub over the bill which amounted to ₹ 23,000.

Panchkula: There were sticks, swords and punches all around – a nightclub in Haryana turned into a battlefield on Sunday morning when a group of people attacked an 18-year-old waiter over a food and liquor bill of ₹23,000 and dragged him for 100 meters. A video of this incident is also going viral on social media.

Two men along with three women were enjoying the night at a posh café and club in Sector 20, Panchkula. After an intense session of drinking, eating and carousing until 4 in the morning, the two men got into an altercation with the staff of the nightclub over the bill which amounted to ₹ 23,000.

The dispute over the money soon turned violent when the two men clashed with the nightclub bouncer. At some point during the fight, one of the two men called his friend for backup. Soon, a dozen other people in two cars arrived at the scene with sticks and swords and attacked the nightclub staff. The three women were also seen swinging swords as kicking, punching, and grappling ensued.

As the fight escalated, the two men, and the women who had accompanied them, tried to flee. The fight turned even uglier when an 18-year-old waiter named Jayant tried to stop their car to collect the bill money. The teenager tried to stop the group from escaping but was dragged for about 100 metres instead.

The entire incident was caught on camera. After the matter came to notice, the police of Sector-20 police station area has started investigation. Police are also scanning the CCTV cameras around the club.

The 18-year-old waiter, Jaiyant, lives in Kharak Mangoli, was severely wounded with the bones in both his hands broken, and an injury to his leg. He is currently undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital in Sector 6 of Panchkula.
