Chandigarh: A tourist bus of Haryana met with an accident in Himachal Pradesh on Friday morning. The accident took place near Bilaspur on the Chandigarh-Manali highway. The road overturned between the bus in the corner near Jabali. A young woman has died in the accident and 41 injured.
According to the information received, tourist bus HR38A-B0007 going from Haryana to Manali overturned in the middle of the road due to loss of balance. The passers-by carried out a rescue operation and took the injured out of the bus and took them to the Bilaspur Regional Hospital. A passenger has been referred to PGI Chandigarh.
As soon as the accident was reported, the police reached the spot and took the girl’s body into custody. Police have registered a case of reckless driving against the driver.
After the incident a police officer said, “In the accident, a woman died on the spot while 41 others were injured.””Upon receiving the information the police reached the spot and all the injured were admitted to Bilaspur regional hospital. Out of 41 injured people, one passenger was critical and referred to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI),” the police further said.
