Hyderabad: Indian CEO dies in freak accident during firm’s silver jubilee event

Hyderabad: The Police said that the CEO of a private firm lost his life after a freak accident at their company during silver jubilee celebrations at Ramoji Film City on Friday. Police said that CEO of Vistex Asia-Pacific Pvt Ltd named as Sanjay Saha. He was 56-year-old.

Hyderabad: The Police said that the CEO of a private firm lost his life after a freak accident at their company during silver jubilee celebrations at Ramoji Film City on Friday. Police said that CEO of Vistex Asia-Pacific Pvt Ltd named as Sanjay Saha. He was 56-year-old.

While another official suffered serious injury in this incident. Another one identified as Raju Datla. He was 52-year-old. CEO was inside a makeshift cage to perform a stunt during the programme at Limelight Gardens and while he was being descended from a height of about 20 feet, along with the president of the firm, Raju Datla, one of the ropes snapped.

After the incident, the police said that they were taken to the hospital but Sanjay Shah died while undergoing treatment, and his colleague’s condition is serious. A. Manmohan,Abdullapurmet Inspector said, “The men were in an iron cage with wood panels that was hanging from the ceiling with 6 mm iron ropes. While the cage was being brought down, one of the ropes snapped and they fell down on the stage.”

The police also said that a case logged against the event organisers and the management of Ramoji Film City under Section 304-A (death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and started a probe. No arrests have been made yet.
