IMD issues heavy rain alert for next 3 days in 22 states including Delhi

New Delhi: On Wednesday morning, raining continuously since five o'clock after the heat wave in Delhi for the last one week. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi for the next three days. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rains in more than 22 states for the next three days.

New Delhi: On Wednesday morning, raining continuously since five o’clock after the heat wave in Delhi for the last one week. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi for the next three days. Due to this, there is a possibility of a drop in temperature up to two degrees Celsius. During this, the humid heat will also reduce.

The Meteorological Department estimates that there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in different areas of Delhi in the next three days. Due to this, the temperature will drop by two degrees and the humid summer will also reduce. The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 and minimum 26 degree Celsius on Wednesday. During this the wind speed can remain from 16 to 22 kmph.

Due to the weather, Delhi’s air has remained consistently clean. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s air index stood at 102 on Tuesday. This level of wind is classified as “moderate”. The Meteorological Department estimates that the level of air quality will remain around this for the next two days.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rains in more than 22 states for the next three days. These include the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and South India. According to IMD senior scientist RK Jenamani, Nizamabad in Telangana received the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, recording 400 mm of rain.

In view of heavy rains in the next two days, a red alert has been issued for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Rain activity is likely to increase over parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh under the influence of a low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Due to rain, normal life has been affected in Saidabad and other areas of Hyderabad.

IMD issued an ‘Orange’ alert for all the coastal districts of Karnataka and Malnad region, forecasting heavy rains in the next 24 hours. The IMD said that Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu and Shivamogga districts would receive heavy to very heavy rains accompanied by strong winds.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a ‘red alert’ for July 26 in Raigad, Pune, Satara and Ratnagiri districts. ‘Orange Alert’ has also been issued in Mumbai, Palghar and Thane.
