IMD predicts moderate to heavy rain occur in these states including Delhi-MP today

New Delhi: Rainfall is expected to continue in Delhi-NCR even today. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will be generally cloudy in Delhi-NCR on July 18 and there is a possibility of moderate rain. IMD has predicted very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Konkan and Goa, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, South Gujarat region today.

New Delhi: Rainfall is expected to continue in Delhi-NCR even today. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will be generally cloudy in Delhi-NCR on July 18 and there is a possibility of moderate rain. Today the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 33 degree Celsius. On July 17, the maximum temperature was recorded at 34.2 degree Celsius. 8 mm in Delhi in the last 24 hours. Rain has been recorded.

IMD has predicted very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Konkan and Goa, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, South Gujarat region today. IMD has issued Orange Alert in view of the possibility of heavy rains in these 7 states. Today isolated in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, West Rajasthan, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Marathwada, Saurashtra and Kutch, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe- Heavy rain may occur at isolated places.

According to IMD, a cyclonic circulation is present over South Jharkhand and neighborhood and extends up to mid-tropospheric level. Whereas at mid-tropospheric level, a Western Disturbance is present in the form of a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab. At the same time, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the Bay of Northwest Bengal within 48 hours.

According to IMD today Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Puducherry and Karaikal with lightning and gusty wind (wind speed 40-50 kmph) at isolated places It is expected to rain.
