Poonch: In Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch, the army has foiled an infiltration attempt in the area of Chetan post on the Line of Control. The army has caught three to four terrorists in which one is injured. An army soldier Jaspreet Singh has also been injured in this firing.
Earlier, on receiving information about suspicious activity along the LoC in Poonch, the army fired and launched a search operation. On receiving information about infiltration by terrorists in Gulpur sector near LoC on Wednesday morning, the army opened fire. After this, the army has launched a search operation, so that the terrorists can be controlled.
The army fired on the LoC with small arms at 4 am on Wednesday. After this, a search operation has been launched in that area. During this, the army has succeeded in catching three people. Some weapons, an IED and war-like material including narco have also been recovered along with the terrorists.
The names of the three terrorists are Mohammad Riaz, Mohammad Farooq and Mohammad Zubair. Farooq is injured in this. Weapons have been recovered from these people. One AK-47 gun, one magazine, 10 rounds of AK-47, 2 pistols, 4 magazines of pistol, 70 rounds of pistol, 6 grenades, 20 packets of heroin-like substance and a suspected IED were recovered from them.
