Jharkhand: A pick-up van returning to Katari after marrying a daughter from Sanragadih village in Dumri block of the district met with an accident. According to the information, there were 40-50 people in this van. 5 people died on the spot in this terrible road accident.
At the same time, 29 people were injured in which the condition of 11 remains critical. This road accident happened near Jarda village of Zari block. According to the information, the pickup suddenly overturned three times.
The injured were brought to the Community Health Center where they were referred to Sadar Hospital Gum for better treatment. Some of the injured have been referred to Ranchi Rims due to their critical condition by doctors in camp mode at Sadar Hospital Gumla. 5 people including the girl’s parents have died in this accident. Among those who died are Sundar Gayar, Sundari Devi, Phulikar Kindo, Sabita Devi and Alsu Nagesia.
The incident was so dangerous that the police of Zari police station picked up the people in an empty bus and sent them to Chainpur sub health center for treatment. As soon as the officials of Gumla district got the information about the incident, the Deputy Superintendent of Sadar Hospital Gumla immediately reached Sadar Hospital.
At the same time, upon getting information about the incident, Jharkhand state secretary of labor union CFTUI Juman Khan also reached with his team to help the injured. Three people have been referred to Rims.
All of them were coming to their home in Katari village, Dumri Block after getting their daughter married in Sanragadih village on a pick-up van. The seriously injured youth belongs to Belu Barga Kusmi police station (Chhattisgarh). All hospital staff including hospital management DS, HM, were seen ready.
