Gumla/Jharkhand: In a shocking incident, three persons of a family were hacked to death with an axe in Jharkhand’s Gumla district today (February 9) over land dispute, police said. One person was injured in the incident that happened in Sakrauli village in Sisai police station area around 3:00 pm, they said. The police have arrested both the accused who committed this horrific incident. It is being told that this incident happened due to a minor dispute.
According to the information received, this incident took place over a dispute over land and trees. It is being told that there was already a dispute over land in a family in Potro Sakrauli village of Sisai police station area. Meanwhile, on Friday, February 9, the dispute between the two parties increased. In this dispute, Nankeshwar Sahu, Satendra Sahu and Shiv Kumar Sahu attacked the other party with weapons.
“The dispute within the family turned violent and one of them, who had a sharp weapon (axe), attacked four others. Three people were killed on the spot, while one was seriously injured,” Sub-Divisional Police Officer Suresh Prasad Sahu said.
The injured person was referred to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi for better treatment, he said. Two persons were detained in connection with the case, police said.
After receiving information about this horrific crime, the police reached the spot. The police took the bodies of all three in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. At the same time, after this incident, a situation of tension has arisen in the entire area. At present, the police have arrested the accused and are investigating the case.
