Karnataka Election: Congress leader RaGa to address the public meeting in Mangaluru today

New Delhi: Today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting in Mangaluru. KC Venugopal, AICC General Secretary said that the people of Karnataka have decided to bring the Congress to power with an absolute majority. He alleged that after the last four years of misrule, the condition of BJP is pathetic.

New Delhi: Today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting in Mangaluru. KC Venugopal, AICC General Secretary said that the people of Karnataka have decided to bring the Congress to power with an absolute majority. He alleged that after the last four years of misrule, the condition of BJP is pathetic.

KC Venugopal claimed that the BJP came to power in the state through buyouts and later made corrupt deals to earn money, due to which people called his rule a 40 percent commission government. Meanwhile, Congress candidate from Kaup Assembly Constituency Vinay Kumar Sorake said in Udupi that Rahul Gandhi will talk to fishermen in Uchila on Thursday. He said that the program will be held in Shalini Ji Shankar Auditorium of Uchila Mahalakshmi Temple.

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday condemned Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement. He condemned Amit Shah’s comment in which Shah had said that if the oldest party comes to power, Karnataka will suffer from riots. Jairam Ramesh termed Shah’s comment as a bold and brazen intimidation statement and accused him of intimidation during the election campaign. He said that Union Home Minister Shah, who was loyal to the outfit banned by India’s first Home Minister, is now making threats during the election campaign in view of certain defeat.

The Congress on Wednesday appointed five senior leaders as regional observers for the Karnataka assembly elections. According to a release issued by the party, Avinash Pandey has been appointed as observer for Central Karnataka region, A Chellakumar for Mysuru region, Manickam Tagore for Mumbai Karnataka region, Ajay Kumar for Coastal Karnataka region and Mohan Prakash for Hyderabad Karnataka region.
