Karnataka: Man detained for posting edited pic of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir with Pakistani flag

Karnataka: On Monday, police said that a man was detained for sharing on social media a morphed photo of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir in Gadag district of Karnataka. They added that in the viral Facebook post shows Pakistani flags atop the Ram Mandir with 'Babri Masjid' written at the bottom.

Karnataka: Man detained for posting edited pic of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir with Pakistani flag

Karnataka: On Monday, police said that a man was detained for sharing on social media a morphed photo of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir in Gadag district of Karnataka.

They added that in the viral Facebook post shows Pakistani flags atop the Ram Mandir with ‘Babri Masjid’ written at the bottom. After the post went viral, pro-Hindu activists filed a police complaint in Gadag and demanded the arrest of the accused.

The man identified as Tajuddin Dafedar.Reacting on the complaint, the police arrested the man. After the arrest the police officials have made the accused delete the post.

Superintendent of Police of Gadag, Babasab Nemagoud said, “He is a Gadag local. We will probe if he belongs to any organisation. We have taken him into custody.”

The accused told police that he saw the post on Facebook and accidentally shared it, during the prime interrogation. The police said that further investigation is underway.

According to the information, the arrest came on the day of the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the rituals and celebrations of the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol in the temple.
