Karnataka Polls 2023: NCP releases 1st list of candidates; Ajit Pawar name excluded

New Delhi: The Karnataka assembly election is scheduled to be held on May 10 and the last date of nomination is May 20. At the same time, a day after the end of nominations, the NCP has released the first list of its nine candidates. However, all these candidates have already filed their nominations.

Along with the list of nine candidates, the NCP has released the list of its star campaigners. The most shocking thing is that Ajit Pawar’s name is not included in the list of star campaigners. Ajit Pawar’s non-appearance in the list further confirms reports claiming that NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar may join BAPJA.

Along with the candidates, NCP has also released the list of star campaigners. Ajit Pawar, the former Deputy CM of Maharashtra and Sharad Pawar’s nephew, is not named in it. The name of party president Sharad Pawar tops the list of NCP’s star campaigners.

This is followed by the names of Praful Patel, Mohammad Faisal, Supriya Sule, Fauzia Khan, Dheeraj Sharma, Sonia Dhun, Siraj Mehndi, Shivajirao Garde, R Hari, Pradeep Kumar, Uma Maheshwari Reddy, Ramabhau Jadhav, Braj Mohan Srivastava and Claude Krasto.

Ajit Pawar’s move with BJP was reported recently, which he himself denied. Ajit Pawar did not attend the one day meeting of NCP held in Mumbai. However, Ajit Pawar said that he could not attend the conference due to his prior commitments. Ajit Pawar’s announcement has added fuel to the fire. Pawar said that he will have to attend some other programs in Pune.
