Kerala High Court Acting Chief Justice: The Center appointed Justice S.V. Bhatti (S.V. Bhatti) has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. He will replace the current Chief Justice S Nanikunar. Justice S Nanikunar is retiring on 23 April. The Central Government has appointed Justice Bhatti as the Acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court with effect from April 24, 2023. On Friday, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju tweeted about his appointment.
He tweeted, ‘In exercise of the power of the Constitution of India, the Hon’ble President of India has appointed Justice SK Bhatti as the Acting Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court with effect from 24 April 2023.

CJI D.Y. Chandrachud’s collegium appointed
Earlier this week, Supreme Court CJI D.Y. The Collegium headed by Chandrachud comprising Justice S.V. Bhatti was appointed as the next Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. Justice Bhatti is the senior-most judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, who is currently serving on transfer as the senior-most judge of the Kerala High Court.
