Lucknow: In a horrific incident reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Malihabad where a minor dispute ended in the deaths of a woman, her teen son, and her brother-in-law. According to the police, the shooting took place due to a dispute over land. The daylight shooting sent shockwaves across the small town.
Sensational footage from the CCTV camera placed in the front yard of the house showed the accused, recognised as Lallan Khan, arriving in a red SUV with his accomplices, brandishing the rifles. According to reports three people, including a couple were shot dead. The deceased were identified as 55-year-old Taj Khan, his wife Farheen and 20-year-old son Farid.
The men are then seen arguing with the family, the police said.

Soon, dispute took ugly turn and the accused started firing. A man was shot outside the house while the accused pointed the rifle inside and fired indiscriminately, killing a woman and her 17-year-old son. The accused is the uncle of the woman’s husband.
Panic prevailed in the area since the firing and police officials have been deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
“Both the groups were related to the other… We have recovered the licenced rifle that was used and the Thar in which they came to this house. We have caught a few of the accused’s associates and are working to arrest him,” the police said.
Lallan a history-sheeter
According to reports, Lallan is known as ‘Gabbar Singh’ in the area and had a bad reputation. He used to ride a horse in the 1970s and 80s and was counted among one of the dreaded criminals in old Lucknow.
At the time, the man was a history sheeter and there are several cases of murder registered against him, the police said. The 70-year-old Lallan is now an accused in the triple murder that was carried out in Malihabad. According to reports, Lallan’s brother Sagir who was blind had died earlier of gunshot wounds. At the time the deceased’s son was accused of the murder.
The bodies will be sent for an autopsy today. Meanwhile the police have launched an investigation in the case. They are hopeful of nabbing the culprits soon. The family members of the accused are also being questioned.
