Jabalpur/MP: A distressing case of ragging unfolds from Madhya Pradesh where a Class 9 male student in a private school was allegedly misbehaved by students, assaulted, stripped and paraded naked. The father of the victim lodged a complaint regarding the incident at Gwarighat police station in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. The police have begun an investigation into the matter.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, the student was first ragged by three boys. Following this, the student was stripped naked and paraded around the entire class.
In the complaint, the victim’s father, Amit Kukreja has stated that his son had gone to school that day as usual in the morning. Three students of the same school beat him in front of the entire class. They also misbehaved with the victim and paraded him naked.
The victim’s family also alleged that when they complained about this act to the school management, they did not take any action against the students nor did they provide CCTV footage of the incident. “Following this incident, the student was extremely scared of going to school. Along with this, they disrobed and insulted other students,” stated the complaint.
Police probe is underway
Based on the complaint of the victim’s father, police have commenced a comprehensive investigation into the matter. Deputy Superintendent of Police Kamal Maurya said, “A written complaint has been lodged by the victim’s father. A police team is going to the school and investigating the entire incident. Also, parents of the accused students are being contacted for inquiry.”
