Madhya Pradesh: An official said that a 25-year-old killed after he was shot for resisting a bid to allegedly kidnap his sister in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. The man was belonging to the nomadic community Pardi.
Official added that the incident happened in the Dharnavada area, about 40 km from the district headquarters. The in-charge of Dharnavada police station, Sub-Inspector Rajendra Singh said that Dharampal Pardi was shot in the foot by an individual after he objected to an alleged attempt to kidnap his sister.
He added that after a profusely bleeding, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, which referred him to Bhopal for better medical care. He died during the journey to the state capital.
The official stated that police have filed a murder case against seven to eight individuals and efforts are on to nab them. He added that the crime seems to be the fallout of an old enmity.
