New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a pharmaceutical factory in Ambernath city of Thane in Maharashtra. One laborer has died in the accident, while three people have been seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital. So far the cause of the fire has not been ascertained.
According to the Thane Municipal Corporation, a fire broke out in a chemical section of Blue Jet Healthcare Company following an explosion and spread to other parts of the unit.
The incident took place near AMP Gate in Nitration Plant of Blue Jet Healthcare in MIDC Unit 2. According to the information, there was a loud blast after the fire. This created an atmosphere of panic.
The employees working in the company started running to a safe place to save their lives. But a laborer died due to the fire. While three were seriously injured. Blue Jet Healthcare Company has manufacturing units in Shahad, Mahad, while it also has 2 units in Ambernath Industrial Area.
