Nagpur: An official said that a woman bludgeoned her husband to death while he was sleeping in Avandi in New Kamptee police station area and surrendered herself before the police in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. The woman was 40-year-old.
The woman identified as Aruna Patil. Official said that she told that she was fed up with her husband’s drinking habits. The victim identified as Anand Banduji Patil. Police said Aruna claimed she was being harassed by Anand.
The 40-year-old women, a resident of Avandhi village under New Kempty police station limits, said her husband Anand Banduji Patil would often demand money from her for liquor.
On Saturday night, there was a heated argument between the couple when Anand asked for money to buy liquor. When refused he misbehaved with Aruna and slept with her.
After this, Aruna hit Anand on the head with a stone, due to which he died. The officer said he surrendered before the police on Sunday morning.
