Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has received death threats. This threat has been given by phone. According to reports, an anonymous caller dialed the Maharashtra Police control room and threatened to kill him saying “I will blow Eknath Shinde” before abruptly disconnecting the call. According to an official, Pune Police has taken the accused into custody. He lives in Dharavi. The police are interrogating him.
The name of the accused is Rajesh. His age is said to be 42 years. He works as a ward boy in Mumbai. His wife also works in a private firm. At the same time, regarding the threat, the wife and other relatives say that he abuses anyone under the influence of alcohol.
According to the information, the accused first called 112 last night and told that he was having pain in his chest. He demanded an ambulance. Then the accused connected the phone again and started threatening CM Shinde. However, after this incident, the police team traced the first accused and took him into custody.
According to a police official, the family members of the accused have also been spoken to regarding the incident. According to the police, the family members say that the accused may have carried out the incident in a drunken state.
When the accused called the number 112 of the control room, he was in Pune at that time. Police traced the location and took him into custody. According to sources, Nagpur Control (112) received this call. After this, he informed the Mumbai Police. When the Mumbai Police reached the house of the accused, his house in Dharavi was locked. However, an FIR has not been registered in this case yet.
According to a police official, talks have also been held with the relatives of the accused regarding the incident. According to the police, the relatives say that the accused may have carried out the incident in a drunken state.
