Maharashtra: FIR against five minors for threatening, forcing boy to chant slogans near Mumbai

Thane: In yet another shocking incident, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against five minors in Maharashtra’s Thane district, for forcing another boy to chant ‘Allah Hu Akbar’.

The incident came into limelight after the father of the 11-year-old boy approached the police on Monday evening, alleging his son was forced to chant religious slogans by a group of minors.

On the way back home at nearly 9.30 pm, he said his son greeted some people by saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

Moments later, a group stopped him and forced him to shout ‘Allah Hu Akbar’.

Police said they had registered a case against the five people, for hurting religious sentiments.

A search for the accused was on, and the police were trying to identify him with the help of CCTV cameras.

A senior official, commenting on the incident, said, “The matter was between children, as those involved were minors.”

Investigations in the case were on.
