In a distressing incident unfolding in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a 16-year-old girl has reportedly been raped by a man who subsequently posted a video of the assault online.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Waseem, allegedly forced the minor girl into a sugarcane field where he raped her. Shockingly, he also filmed the horrific act.
Following the assault, Waseem threatened the victim, warning her of dire consequences if she dared to disclose the incident to anyone. He specifically threatened to share the video on social media, compounding the victim’s trauma and fear.
Despite the trauma endured, the victim remained silent, fearing the repercussions of Waseem’s threats. The police note that the girl refrained from reporting the assault to anyone out of fear for her safety.

Filing of FIR: In response to the complaint lodged by the victim’s family, the police have initiated action, filing a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act.
