Mob Attacks Police Team in Gujarat: In a shocking incident in Zinzuwada village, Gujarat’s Surendranagar district, a mob armed with sharp weapons and sticks attacked a police team, leaving Sub Inspector KC Dangar seriously injured and two constables with minor injuries. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when the police team was returning to Zinzuwada police station with Jalasinh Zala, an alleged bootlegger who had been on the run.
The mob assault took place as the police team, in a private car, had in custody Jalasinh Zala, a notorious criminal wanted for various offenses, including rioting, loot, and assault. Zala, also involved in a bootlegging case in Patan district, managed to escape during the attack. Sub Inspector Dangar suffered severe injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital in Ahmedabad, while the two constables received minor injuries.
Jalasinh Zala, a resident of Zinzuwada, was apprehended during a tip-off while playing cricket. However, one of his associates swiftly organized a mob to facilitate his escape. Police have formed teams to apprehend Zala and those involved in the violent attack on the police party.
Zala, a dreaded criminal with a history of various criminal activities, was on the run from law enforcement. Patan police sought assistance from Zinzuwada police to apprehend him. The mob attack occurred at the entrance of Zinzuwada village when the police team, transporting Zala, was confronted by the violent mob wielding sharp weapons and sticks.
Authorities are actively pursuing the culprits involved in both the attack on the police team and the escape of the history sheeter.
