Modi’s Jabalpur Roadshow Sets Sights on Six Key Madhya Pradesh Seats for First Poll

Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh with a vibrant roadshow in Jabalpur. The event, held on April 19, marked PM Modi’s first visit to the state post-election announcement.

Accompanied by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, State Minister Rakesh Singh, and BJP’s Jabalpur candidate Ashish Dubey, PM Modi showcased the BJP’s commitment to bolstering infrastructure and road connectivity in the region. He emphasized these efforts through a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support and pledging continued development initiatives.

Addressing the crowd, PM Modi highlighted the BJP’s dedication to prioritizing sectors such as MSME, urban infrastructure, and tourism to boost the local economy. He assured the people of Jabalpur that the BJP’s focus would be on enhancing their quality of life.

In a swipe at the Congress, PM Modi condemned what he termed as the opposition party’s “anti-people politics” and assured residents of Jabalpur of comprehensive development under BJP’s leadership.

Tribal groups added cultural vibrancy to the event with traditional dances, reflecting the region’s rich heritage.

Jabalpur, a significant constituency in Madhya Pradesh’s tribal-dominated Mahakoshal region, is among six seats set to go to polls on April 19. The BJP aims to reclaim Jabalpur, which it held consistently until the recent vacancy caused by MLA transition.

The roadshow, adorned with ‘Mera Ghar Modi Ka Ghar’ and ‘Mera Pariwar Modi Ka Pariwar’ banners, showcased the BJP’s people-centric approach and resonated with voters across the constituency.

With Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh spanning the first four phases, PM Modi seeks a third term, while the BJP eyes a resounding victory propelled by its performance in last year’s Assembly polls. The Congress, meanwhile, aims to mount a robust challenge in a bid to alter the political landscape.
