Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has taken decisive action against private schools suspected of compelling parents to purchase textbooks and uniforms exclusively from designated shops. The CM’s directive, prompted by a surge in complaints, underscores a commitment to uphold fairness and affordability in education.

Madhya Pradesh’s top leader, Mohan Yadav, has said that schools can’t make parents buy things only from certain shops. This happened because many parents complained about it.

The Chief Minister told the chief secretary to take strict action against these schools. He said this after hearing many complaints from parents.

In line with the Private Schools Fee Act, schools found in violation of these directives face substantial penalties. The directive also extends to district collectors, emphasizing the importance of local enforcement to safeguard parental rights and promote equitable access to education.

Under the act, school directors could face fines of up to ₹2 lakh if found guilty, signaling a stern deterrent against non-compliance. This proactive approach underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring that educational institutions operate ethically and in the best interests of students and parents alike.
