MS Dhoni alleges former business partners of cheating Rs 15 crore, files criminal case

Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni has filed a criminal complaint against his former business partners. It is claimed that they defrauded about 15 crores. MS Dhoni files criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Biswas of Arka Sports and Management Ltd in Ranchi court.

New Delhi: Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni has filed a criminal complaint against his former business partners. It is claimed that they defrauded about 15 crores. MS Dhoni files criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Biswas of Arka Sports and Management Ltd in Ranchi court. This incident has caused a significant uproar within the cricket community, with social media users expressing strong reactions over the alleged fraud against Dhoni.

Dhoni, well-known as ‘Captain Cool,’ has allegedly been defrauded in a high-stakes case involving the establishment of an international cricket academy with Mihir Diwakar. As per the reports, In 2017, Mihir Diwakar signed a deal with Dhoni to set up a global cricket academy. However, Diwakar did not follow the conditions stipulated in the agreement. Under the terms of this agreement, Arka Sports was required to share the franchise fee and profits. But they did not respect these conditions.

Despite several attempts, the terms and conditions mentioned in the agreement were ignored. As a result, MS Dhoni withdrew the official letter dated 15th August 2021 to Arka Sports and sent several legal notices. But there was no positive resolution. Dayanand Singh, representing MS Dhoni through legal channels, revealed that Dhoni was allegedly defrauded by Arka Sports, resulting in a reported financial loss of 15 crore rupees for MSD.

Dhoni’s friend Simant Lohani, popularly known as Chittu, has also filed a complaint, alleging that he was threatened and abused by Mihir Diwakar after they took legal action against Aarka Sports.

The legendary 42-year-old cricketer made his way back home only recently as he celebrated Christmas and also spent his New Year in Dubai with his family and friends. Dhoni also had the company of Rishabh Pant who has been on the road to recovery from what could have been a fatal injury. Pant has been an avid follower of Dhoni due to the game and his pictures with Dhoni often emerge on social media.

Pant had joined MS Dhoni after reaching Dubai for IPL 2024 mini-auction which unfolded on December 19 where he sat with the team management of Delhi Capitals. Both Dhoni and Pant will be making a return to competitive cricket during the IPL 2024, which could be the last cricket outing for the former Indian captain who recovered from a knee injury to lead his IPL side Chennai Super Kings to a fifth title triumph.
