In a tragic incident in Noida, a 42-year-old man reportedly strangled his 22-year-old girlfriend to death before attempting to take his own life by cutting his throat with a blade. The grim episode unfolded in Chhijarsi village, Noida, prompting swift police action.

According to authorities, the victim, identified as Nisha from Ballia district but residing in Delhi, was found lifeless alongside the accused, Dhanajay Kumar, who sustained injuries. Both were swiftly rushed to a nearby hospital, where Nisha was pronounced dead, while Dhanajay received medical attention for his self-inflicted wounds.
While the exact motive behind the heinous act remains unclear, investigators revealed that Nisha and Dhanajay had been in a romantic relationship for approximately a year. However, a heated argument ensued during a meeting at Dhanajay’s residence, culminating in the fatal assault on Nisha.
The incident, reported around 10 pm at the Sector 63 Police Station, has led to Dhanajay’s arrest, with charges filed under IPC section 302 (murder). He is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital and will face legal proceedings upon discharge.
