Authorities have detained an individual in Uttarakhand suspected of fabricating passports for members associated with the notorious Rohit Godara and Lawrence Bishnoi gangs, facilitating their clandestine travels abroad, as confirmed by police sources on Sunday.
The Rajasthan Anti Gangsters Task Force, in conjunction with Bikaner Police, orchestrated the arrest of Rahul Sarkar in Uttarakhand. Sarkar stands accused of orchestrating the forgery of passports, a crucial tool for gangsters seeking to obscure their identities while venturing overseas.
Sarkar’s capture near the Uttarakhand-Nepal border followed extensive surveillance and raids, illustrating the concerted efforts by law enforcement to thwart criminal activities linked to these notorious gangs.
Authorities have meticulously tracked the intricate web of individuals involved in the passport forgery racket. By apprehending Sarkar, the police have taken a significant stride in uncovering the extent of assistance provided to gang members seeking refuge beyond national borders.
The collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies extend beyond Sarkar’s arrest. A comprehensive investigation is underway to identify all individuals who availed themselves of Sarkar’s services and facilitated their escape abroad. Raids are being conducted across multiple states to root out hideouts and apprehend other perpetrators implicated in aiding the Bishnoi-Godara syndicates.
