Rajasthan: An official said that two coaches of a Bhopal-bound express train derailed in Kota of Rajasthan on Friday. He also said that repair work was started immediately and the train was running again within a few hours.
West Central Railway said that train number 14813 Jodhpur-Bhopal passenger train derailed near the Kota station yard of Kota division at 10.50 pm and was despatched from the station at 2 am. There was no immediate report of any injuries at the time of writing of this news report.
On social media platform X, West Central Railway said,“Two coaches of train number 14813 were derailed at Kota station yard of Kota division on Friday, 05 January at 22.50 hrs, which was quickly re-railed by the railway administration and started the work at a fast pace, and then on 06.01.24 at 02.00 midnight, the train was re-railed and was as sent off.”
After receiving information about the incident, officials reached the spot and started the relief work. Earlier, the West Central Railway released helpline numbers keeping in view the incident. Bhopal – 9109197588, Guna – 9109113894, Bina – 9770119204.
Giving details about the incident, a senior officer said, “2 coaches of a Bhopal-bound passenger train derail near Kota Junction, rescue ops underway. Earlier in December 2023, an empty train derailed in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district. There were no injuries were reported in the accident.
