Amidst the fervor surrounding the impending Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has announced its fifth list of candidates, solidifying its stance for the upcoming electoral battle. The unveiling of candidates comes on the heels of the election commission’s announcement of polling dates.

Strategic Nominations Unveiled

In its latest list, the SP has strategically nominated five candidates to contest various constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. Notable inclusions are Dharmendra Yadav, who will represent the party from Azamgarh, and Manoj Kumar Raghvanshi, who replaces the previous candidate in the Misrikh seat.

New Faces in the Fray

The party’s candidate lineup also features Dr. Mahendra Nagar, who will contest from Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Bheem Nishad from Sultanpur, Jitendra Dohre from Etawah, and Narayan Das Ahriwar from Jalaun.

Election Commission’s Announcement

Coinciding with the SP’s candidate announcement, the Election Commission unveiled the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 earlier today. The polling is scheduled to take place across seven phases, commencing from April 19 and concluding on June 1, with vote counting slated for June 4.
