New Delhi:Shivratri of Sawan month has special significance. This time a very auspicious coincidence is happening on Sawan Shivratri. That’s why fasting on this day will give good results. It is said that the devotee who observes this fast with a true heart, Lord Shiva fulfills his every wish.

According to the scriptures, in this month Lord Bholenath goes on a tour of the earth with Mother Parvati. Lord Shiva fulfills all the wishes sought from the heart this month. Apart from 16 Mondays, on Mondays of Sawan, one gets the desired groom. There is a practice of bringing Kanwar in this month. Shivratri coming this month is celebrated with great pomp. In the midst of a huge crowd of Shiva devotees in Shivalayas, the Shivalayas echo with the sound of Bol Bam. The festival dedicated to Lord Shiva i.e. Shivratri is celebrated on Chaturdashi Tithi. It is said that Lord Shiva appeared on this day. At the same time, the marriage of Lord Shiva also took place on this day.

Shivratri is held on the Chaturdashi of every month, but the Shivratri of Savan has the most importance. This time Shivratri will be celebrated on 15 July 2023 i.e. Saturday. On this day lakhs of kanwariyas who bring water from Haridwar will perform Jalabhishek on Shivling by bringing water from Haridwar. On this day, there is great importance of worshiping Bholenath, fasting, chanting mantras and awakening. Lord Shiva fulfills the wishes and gives the desired results. When Lord Bholenath is pleased, he gives every happiness in life, which a person imagines or wishes for.

This is the auspicious time of worship on Shivratri, worship like this:

Take a pledge to worship Shiva by taking bath in the morning on Shivaratri of Sawan. Perform Jalabhishek on Shivling. During this, taking your wishes in your mind and meditating on Lord Shiva, worship Panchopachar. Chant the mantras of Lord Shiva. The auspicious time to worship God on this day is from 7.21 pm to 9.54 pm. This time is the most auspicious time to worship God. In this, apart from chanting Shiva mantras, you can also recite Rudrashtak or Shiva Stuti. By this Lord Shiva will fulfill your wishes.

Shivratri Puja Method:

On Masik Shivratri, wake up early in the morning and wear clean clothes after bathing etc. After this go to a Shiva temple. If you wish, you can also offer belpatra, dhatura, bhang and coconut on the Shivling in your house of worship. After this do Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva.

What is the importance of monthly Shivratri:

According to mythological beliefs, a person who worships Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati on this day and observes monthly Shivratri fast gets the blessings of Lord Shiva. Along with this, happiness and peace also remain in a person’s life.
