Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh: The principal of a government primary school in Bulandshahr district, Pratap Singh, has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing girl students and exposing them to “indecent videos” on mobile phones, as reported by the police on Tuesday.
According to the police complaint, Singh is accused of inappropriately touching multiple girl students, all aged between nine to 12 years old. The severity of the allegations was such that the girls, traumatized by the experience, stopped attending school.
The complaint further revealed a disturbing pattern where the students were coerced into silence. Singh allegedly showed them explicit content on phones and threatened that any disclosure would result in their failure in exams and expulsion from school, instilling fear in the young minds.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rohit Mishra confirmed that a case has been registered at Arnia Police Station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). Following a thorough investigation, Singh was promptly arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
