In a tragic incident in Maharashtra’s Thane district, a dog lost its life after biting an explosive device that was likely intended for hunting purposes. The distressing event occurred at a farmhouse in Shahapur on Wednesday night, shedding light on the dangers of explosive devices left in the open.
Dog Fatally Dead by Explosive Device Left Openly. Balu Damu Mahalunge (50), the watchman of the farmhouse, reported to the police that a dog residing on the premises returned from outside carrying an object in its mouth. Tragically, the dog bit into the object, resulting in an explosion that claimed its life. Additionally, another dog at the farmhouse had previously been injured after biting into a similar object brought in from outside.
Dog Dead After Biting Explosive Device in Thane. The suspicion arises that these explosive devices were deliberately left in the open, possibly with the intent of hunting wild animals. The Shahapur police responded by registering a case under Indian Penal Code sections 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle or an animal) and 435 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with the intent to cause damage).
This incident highlights the need for increased awareness and precautions to prevent such tragic accidents involving explosive materials. Authorities are expected to investigate the matter thoroughly to ensure the safety of both animals and the community in the future.
